Kicking Goals: Enabling access to Community Sport

Queenslanders love our sport and our kids love it too.

The Palaszczuk Labor Government knows this, and since June 2019 we have issued 83,885 FairPlay vouchers, to help
pressured families give their kids a fair opportunity to participate in club sport.

Our FairPlay vouchers provide a subsidy of up to $150 to low-income families, to help them pay for the registration or participation fees of their kids’ club sport.

Sporty kids are healthy kids, and they get enormous benefits from sporting competitions and team activities, these are skills that they can draw from throughout their life.

COVID-19 has been tough, and a lot of Queenslanders may have found themselves out of work, or short of cash.

That's why a re-elected Palaszczuk Labor Government will invest $7.5 million to deliver 50,000 FairPlay vouchers in
2020/2021, helping financially pressured families get their kids playing more sport.

Labor knows this isn't just an investment in the wellbeing of our kids, it provides an immediate boost to local clubs, and to the economy more broadly.
