Keeping Queensland Working

Works for Queensland is all about local projects that have supported local jobs.

It's made a massive difference to councils right across this state by providing funds for new infrastructure like curbing, footpaths, playgrounds, and community facility upgrades.

That's why the Palaszczuk Labor Government will support local projects that deliver up to a further 17,800 local jobs across Queensland with an unprecedented $600 million commitment to Works for Queensland and a SEQ Community Stimulus Package.

Works for Queensland and the SEQ Community Stimulus Package are part of the Palaszczuk Labor Government’s commitment to Queensland as we implement our $11 billion plan for economic recovery.

We will also commit $280 million to the Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme that will support 230 jobs.

Local councils deserve these local projects and local jobs, only a Palaszczuk Labor Government will deliver them.
